School bus donation to children’s school Dedovskaja
Dedovskaja is a boarding-school in the outskirts of Moscow built almost half a century ago. It houses over 100 children, from which more than 20 kids have no family members whatsoever. Therefore, volunteers and the staff are doing their best to establish a stronger ground for the future of these children. Talking, discussing as well as playing with them teaches kids the importance of listening, expressing themselves and socialising, while workshops give them an idea of what they could become later in the future and uncovers their hidden skills and features.
Located 38 km from Moscow, Dedovskaja boarding-school will now be able to conduct visits and educational trips. With the donated yellow school bus pupils are already planning their excursions. Showing their appreciation for the support, children have made paintings and photographs, which will be a great memory of their thankfulness and joy.
Support for the charitable fund “Jiezno Vaikai” (“The Children of Jieznas”), Jieznas Children’s Home
The charitable fund “Jiezno Vaikai” was established in 2002. It attends to the needs of orphans and children from at-risk families living in the Jieznas Children’s Home, Kaunas orphanage “Atzalynas” and Vilnius Children’s Home “Gile”. The activities of “Jiezno Vaikai” include organising various lectures on a wide range of topics to orphaned children, providing them with free books, arranging trips to theatres and initiating creativity contests. The fund encourages less advantaged children to learn and improve, take an interest in their future and become self-sufficient persons; therefore, the fund prioritises education and comprehensive teaching.
The Jieznas Children’s Home is a social trust and upbringing institution maintained by the state budget. It is aimed at orphans and children whose parents cannot provide them with adequate educational means.
